Research has shown that if one of the two identical twins has anxiety disorders, the other one is mostly likly going to get anxiety disorder and this leads to the conclusion that it might be a part of the genes that triggers anxiety disorder.

Durign childhood, unpleasant experiences can lead to the developement of anxiety disorder. For example, if a kid experiences seperation with their parents, they might have Seperation Anxiety Disorder later in life.
Personality:
If a person tends to have low self-esteem, they can develope anxiety disorders in which they lose confidence about themselves. However, anxiety disorders are sometimes the reason that leads to low self-esteem as the person grows up.
Stressful Event:
In a person's life, there can be events that can cause mental scars in the his/her memory. For example, if a student loses his/her parent in a car accident, that can impact their mind greatly and this can lead to the development of an anxiety disorder.
